Within the scope of our operations, whether to provide services or improve your experience, we process identification data (name, gender, civil and tax ID numbers, nationality, date of birth, client and room number), contact data (address, telephone, email), profile data (nationality, marital status, number of children), interests (hobbies, loyalty card) and electronic interaction data (IP address, device identifiers, cookies).

Personal data are processed for Client Management and Service Provision, Accounting, Tax and Administrative Management, Litigation Management, Physical Security Control (video surveillance), and Marketing Management. The legal grounds for data processing include: (1) Consent, when you have freely and expressly given it (e.g., for promotional marketing actions); (2) Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, when necessary for the conclusion or management of a contract with Barata Hotels Group; (3) Compliance with a legal obligation, such as communication of data to police, judicial, tax, or regulatory authorities; (4) Legitimate interest, when processing corresponds to a legitimate interest of Barata Hotels Group or third parties (e.g., service improvement, fraud detection). Data are retained only for the period required for the purposes pursued and for the minimum legal period, ranging from three (3) to, in exceptional cases, twenty (20) years when necessary to safeguard rights.
Data Sharing.
Your data may be processed by entities subcontracted by Barata Hotels Group. Only the data necessary for the provision of the contracted service will be provided.
Exercising Your Rights.
At any time, you may: (i) request access to your personal data and information on processing; (ii) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; (iii) request deletion of your personal data; (iv) request restriction of processing; (v) object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing; (vi) withdraw consent when processing is based on it. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy and the processing of customer data are governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and by Portuguese law. Any disputes arising from or related to this Policy are subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the judicial courts of Faro, without prejudice to applicable mandatory legal provisions.
